Calistoga’s small town ambiance, coupled with sophisticated dining, spa adventures and shopping, make it a favorite of many wine country visitors. Underground thermal features give rise to natural hot springs. Jericho Ridge is approximately 3 miles from Chateau Montelena – the vineyard that inspired the birth of Napa Valley – as depicted in the movie “Bottle Shock.”
We’re proud that Calistoga was named one of the United States’ Top Ten destinations for relaxation and spa by TRAVELERS CHOICE DESTINATIONS AWARDS. Just take a look at what it says about Calistoga: “Here’s your day in Calistoga: Yoga. Massage. Spa lunch. Hike. Wine-tasting. Facial. Mud bath. Gourmet dinner (with more wine). Dip in a mineral pool. Does it get more relaxing than a spa town built around natural springs in the middle of wine country? We don’t think so.” The only thing they forgot was to mention our cottage at Jericho Ridge – the perfect place to end a perfect day.
Our Story
After 15 years on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, we have returned to California to the Paradise that is Calistoga. Our gated property includes 40 acres of undeveloped natural and wild beauty. There is a lot of history surrounding this property that we are proud to continue and share with our guests. The gardens and landscaping are spectacular and a perfect backdrop to our quaint rental cottage. We maintain one of Calistoga’s amazing vineyards, Jericho Ridge. It is quiet and remote – while being within 3 ½ miles of the center of downtown: a perfect balance.
For an unforgettable view of this spectacular area, take a hot air balloon ride or hit the hiking and biking trails. Calistoga has something for everyone in every season with year-round parades, lively music, art and wine events, and a thriving wellness community to care for your body and nurture your spirit.
